Biography
Frank Cody, the man the New York Times declared “the father of Smooth Jazz,” possesses an impressive track record in the entertainment industry that spans over forty years. In that time he has served as an executive at both NBC and ABC as well as several major Rock stations, produced countless enter-tainment specials, and in a very real sense has helped to design and shape the sound of modern American radio. Frank is a tremendously creative talent who brings a warm, people-oriented energy and spirit to all his endeavors.
His programming successes began in Los Angeles at ABC's KLOS, and later at KBPI-Denver where he took the station from eighth to first place in less than one year. In 1986, Metromedia brought Cody back to L.A. where he guided the development of The WAVE format, now known as Smooth Jazz.
